Currents

Our native seaweeds evoke graceful movement in the currents. Here they are placed with humpback whales, movement through migration rather than swaying in place. Overlaid over all are the lines of life in constant motion - waves, contours, sound waves, currents, even the swirls of finger prints. This piece has been accepted as a finalist in the NZ Painting and Printmaking awards, 2026. Available to buy at the exhibition, and more widely available after the show.
